So this piece started as a submission to a seventh sanctum contest where we had to get an evil overlord's name and the name of his minions. my overlord was names ShroudTerror the horrible or something like that. and his minions were the faceless cutters. This was the image that came from that suggestion. However, a couple of my friends saw me working on him and decided to rename him the Mummy of the Mantis Men. i ran with it. Decided that it should look like an old vintage monster movie poster. i would totally go to see this one! if i had the means, i would even make the movie. how fun would THAT be??
